Senior Applications Software Developer, LLC, needs a Senior Applications Software Developer to manage the company’s proprietary software platform and applications and to develop a second generation of our proprietary software application in the real estate tax appeals, case management, and valuation to include automation and artificial intelligence features. The successful candidate must hold a Masters or higher degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related fields, with at least 4 years of post-Masters work experience (not including education time) in developing, creating, debugging, and modifying software applications in structured, object-oriented languages, and in multi-threaded and multi-processing environments; statistical analysis; and database modeling, design, & implementation.

Duties include:
* Developing software solutions, including software and database modeling and design, by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; and following the software development lifecycle.

* Incorporating statistical models and artificial intelligence to automate our workflow and provide an analytical framework for the representation of each client.

* Determining operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.

* Documenting and demonstrating solutions by developing the documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.

* Preparing and installing solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.

* Improving operations by conducting systems analysis; and recommending changes in policies and procedures.

* Updating job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organizations.

* Developing secured code and protecting operations by keeping the information confidential.

* Providing information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.

* Providing Change Management expertise for porting the current data and business logic to the new software architecture.

* Accomplishing engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

* Supporting and effectively leading software engineer team member, by providing advice, guidance, direction, coaching, and educational opportunities.

Skills/Qualifications: Advanced knowledge and experience with Windows system; software design tools such as Object Oriented Design Patterns (OODP ), Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD), or Unified Modeling Language (UML); structured, object-oriented languages such as C++ or C#; Web Services; database modeling and design; any SQL language for either Microsoft SQL, MySQL, or Oracle; analyzing information; statistical modeling and analysis; geo-coding, artificial intelligence, software documentation; software testing; teamwork; software development process; software requirements; software architecture; coaching and leadership; and communication skills.

The position is located at, LLC, offices in Indianapolis, Indiana. No telecommuting.
